See the difference a holistic Chiropractor can make in your life.

I have a passion for holistic, natural healthcare, that acknowledges the body’s inbuilt cleverness.
But this wasn’t always the case.
My own introduction to Chiropractic care? A sore back.
A pretty typical entry to the world of Chiropractic for some people. I injured myself playing tennis as a teenager and couldn’t play the sport that I loved.
Coincidentally, my tennis coach was also a Chiropractor, who I saw following my injury to help me get back on the court.
A few memorable things stood out to me from my first visit.
My Chiropractor assessed my body holistically. He wasn’t solely concerned with treating my symptoms, but addressing the underlying cause of my back pain to prevent it happening again in future.
I was also introduced to the very obvious, but previously unquestioned truth, that my body was clever and could heal itself.
This idea that lasting health didn’t come from taking medications or cutting out body parts, was a significant light bulb moment for me.
I continued to have regular care to avoid missing any more tennis, but also because having care proactively, made me feel generally happier and less stressed at school.
My own personal experience receiving this holistic and natural healthcare, sparked an interest in me to further explore what contributes to human health and well-being. I undertook my tertiary education at RMIT in Melbourne, completing a 3-year Bachelor of Health Science and a 2-year Masters in Clinical Chiropractic.
Though I learnt everything that I could learn about the human body from my study of anatomy, physiology, neurology, and all the other fields, my degrees really didn’t get me much closer to understanding about where health and healing truly comes from.
The simple understanding that true health comes from within, is freely available to everyone willing to look for it. An extensive university education isn’t required to realise our inborn capacity for health.
What I’ve come to understand more recently, is that the health of my body is an extremely important factor in my ability to live a happy and meaningful life.
Only since becoming a parent, has the importance of my own self-care become very apparent, so that I can adapt well to life’s stresses and be the best Dad I can for my kids.
It’s my hope to share these understandings that have had such an impact on my own personal health and that of my kids, to the other parents and families of the Ocean Grove, Barwon Heads and the Bellarine Peninsula community.
